The Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) provides a mechanism for consumers to make a complaint and receive help and advice about the consumer packaging of APC Signatories.

You can contact the APC Packaging Line with details of your enquiry about the design and use of packaging materials or your complaint about problematic packaging.

What does the APC Packaging Line cover?

Consumer packaging created, supplied or used by parties who have signed the Australian Packaging Covenant.  A Signatory may market their products under many brands.  The APC Packaging Line can assist you in identifying a brand owner.

The packaging may be made of any material or combination of materials for the containment, protection, marketing or handling of consumer products (including the distribution packaging) in Australia.

What happens when you forward an enquiry or complaint form to us?

APC Packaging Line staff will record your enquiry or complaint within two working days in a log created for this purpose.

1. The Packaging Line determines the nature of the request and responds to you within three working days, when it is a general request for information.

2. If your general enquiry is best answered by a specialist, the Packaging Line will refer your enquiry to them within three working days.  The specialist will respond directly to you within twenty working days.

3. If your enquiry is a more specific request that relates to product packaging created by an APC Signatory (Brand Owner), the Brand Owner will respond directly to you within twenty working days.
